The free screensaver, Pluto the Dead Planet, was created by RateMyScreensaver.com and contains 15 high resolution images of the dwarf planet Pluto. It's official: Pluto is no longer a planet. It is now only a dwarf planet, one of three in the solar system. The fate of Pluto was determined on Thursday August 24th, 2006 by a vote among members of the International Astronomical Union in Prague.

Far far away, at the very edge of the Solar System lies Pluto, the ninth planet from the Sun. It is not only much smaller and less massive than every other planet, it is also smaller and less massive than seven moons of other planets. It has one natural satellite, Charon, which is half the size of Pluto. There are many other interesting and controversial facts about this planet that you can learn if you download this screensaver.
